KYLE EVANS FIRST EVER NATIONAL FORMULA FORD EVENT
Sixteen year old Kyle Evans from Kyle Evans Motorsport and one of our 2019 Half Price Parts media drivers competed in Round 1 of the 2021 Australian Formula Ford Championship held at Sydney Motorsport Park his first ever national Formula Ford event.
Evans in his black no 34 Duratec powered Spectrum finished Round 1 in 9th place with 20 points, we asked him to give us a brief run down from the weekend.

“It was an amazing opportunity to compete at my first ever weekend at Sydney Motor Sport Park in the Australian Formula Ford National Series,” Evans told Velocity Magazine.
“A huge thanks to AMRS for putting on such an incredible event. I look forward to Round 2 of 2021 Australian Formula Ford Championships being held at Wakefield Park on 21-23 May 2021.”

“Thanks Dad, Brett for getting the car race ready that turned out to be a flawless weekend, and also thanks to Chris Purvis from WLM Motorsport for helping out over the weekend with the track walk, mechanical and coaching to get the car handling awesome, leaving a lot of improvement up to me as the driver.”
“Over all I am very happy about the outcome of the weekend we have identified quite a few areas to improve. Chris helped me improve throughout the weekend.”
“My next Queensland event will be held at Morgan Park Raceway, with six Duratec and seven Kent competitors already entered for Round 1 of the Qld State Championship its going to be a big weekend.”
The seven rounds of the 2021 Australian Formula Ford Championship will be spread from March to December as follows:
Round 1: 6-7 March at Sydney Motorsport Park (AMRS)
Round 2: 21-23 May at Wakefield Park Raceway (NSW State Championship)
Round 3: 11-13 June at Winton Motor Raceway (AMRS)
Round 4: 23-25 July at Sandown Raceway (Vic State Championship)
Round 5: 6-8 August at Queensland Raceway (AMRS)
Round 6: 24-26 September at Phillip Island GP Circuit (Vic State Championship)
Round 7: 3-5 December at The Bend Motorsport Park (AMRS)
