SANDOWN REVIVAL SET TO LAUNCH IN 2026

Melbourne is set to welcome a brand-new motorsport festival with the launch of Sandown Revival Motoring Festival, a celebration of racing and motoring culture at the iconic Sandown Racecourse on January 17-18, 2026.

Brought to life by the team behind the revival of Australia’s oldest continuous motorsport event – the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival – this exciting new addition to the motorsport calendar will blend high-speed action with classic motoring heritage. Featuring over 500 exotic, restored and replica vehicles both on display and on the track, Sandown Revival will showcase SuperSprint and Regularity racing, allowing spectators to get up close to the cars and drivers – something rarely possible at major race events.

Event Director Nicholas Heath is excited to bring this motorsport experience to Melbourne, following the success of similar events in regional Victoria. “We’ve seen the huge appetite for this style of event in Geelong, and we’re excited to bring it to Melbourn. Sandown is a classic track with incredible motorsport heritage. We’re going to celebrate that, have some fun and enjoy great cars while meeting legendary race drivers.”

Beyond the racing, Sandown Revival will offer an extensive motorshow, automotive exhibitions, vintage fashion, food trucks and entertainment, making it a must-attend event for motoring enthusiasts and families alike.
