Lee Holdsworth has shown off his new warpaint for the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, unveiling the No. 5 Truck Assist Ford Mustang. Holdsworth enters 2020 eager to build on a strong debut season with Tickford Racing, capping the 2019 season 10th in the drivers’ championship.

Holdsworth’s second year with the team coincides with the arrival of Truck Assist as a naming rights partner aboard his No. 5 Mustang, which made its track debut today at Supercars’ preseason SuperTest.

“I’m absolutely pumped to get the 2020 season started,” said Holdsworth, “and I can’t wait to take to the track the Truck Assist Ford Mustang. The car has come off great, and if it’s drives half as well as it looks I think we’ll be in for a really good year. Our 2019 was very solid, especially in the back half of the season. Sammy (Scaffidi, engineer) and I have gelled really well working together, and believe we can carry our speed from the end of last year into the new season. I’m really excited to get into it.”

Following Tuesday’s test day at The Bend Motorsport Park, Holdsworth and the rest of the Supercars paddock will head to Adelaide for this weekend’s season opening Superloop Adelaide 500, February 20-23.
