AMG C63 CROWD FAVOURITE OF THE 2018 BATHURST 6 HOUR RETURNS

The AMG C63 team have unveiled its 2020 Bathurst 6 hour livery today and announced a NEW driver line up!

After putting in a stellar effort in the 2018 6 hour on debut, taking home an A2 Class Win and 7th Outright  with drivers Karl Begg and Justin Anthony, the only AMG C63 Production racing weapon in Australia will return to the 2020 Bathurst 6 hour with a changed driver line up.

The car was a crowd favourite in its only 6 hour appearance for its brutish sound and serious straight line speed. Works by Accelerate Automotive have been carried out in it’s hiatus from the 6hr, that has ‘sharpened’ up the AMG dramatically.

The car’s co-owner, Justin Anthony has Drafted F.I.A International Championship winning driver, Ben Walsh on board for the 6 hour in a serious attempt to be an outright podium contender. Walsh once featured successfully on the International open wheel scene winning championships on three continents.

More recently Walsh has appeared as a front runner in Aussie Racing Cars, SuperUtes and competed with the U.K factory Ginetta team in the 2018 Bathurst 12 Hour.

Justin Anthony is an accomplished Touring car racer with recent results such as The 2019 Massel Endurance Cup champion and two time CAMS State Champion for Production Cars 2018 – 2019 consecutively in the C63. This driver line-up along with the combined, experienced team support of Hammer Autosports and Begg Motorsport, will be a force to be reckoned with.

Construction software specialists, Nexvia technology has come on as the naming rights sponsor, with additional sponsors, Accelerate Automotive, Motorsportsales.com.au, TBS Race Brakes and Get That Car Loan appearing in a support role as well. The team are actively seeking another sponsor for the campaign.

The car will be gaining track time in the Combined Sedans support race at the Bathurst 12hour next week and will conduct further testing prior to the 6 hour.
