RENAULT SPORT MONACO FACT FILE AND DRIVER AUDIO

Renault Sport Formula One Team heads to the Circuit de Monaco for the sixth Grand Prix of the 2018 Formula 1 season, the Monaco Grand Prix.

Monaco by the Numbers:
1 – Test & Development Driver Artem Markelov has won once in Monaco, in the GP2 Series in 2016.
2 – Renault Sport Academy Driver Sacha Fenestraz has two wins to his name in Monaco in the Formula Renault Eurocup.
3 – Carlos Sainz drove Rallye Monte-Carlo in January, an event his father won three times in 1991, 1995 and 1998.
4 – The team enters the Monaco Grand Prix in fourth in the Constructors’ Championship.
5 – Nico Hülkenberg’s best qualifying in Monaco is fifth, which he achieved in 2016.
6 – Renault engines have won around the streets of Monaco six times

The sixth race of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, gets underway this weekend at the Circuit de Monaco with the track action commencing on Thursday at 11:00 local time.

Nico: “It’s kind of a home Grand Prix for me since I’ve lived here for three years, you should think I know my way around the circuit! Monaco is the highlight of the season and a massively challenging weekend. It’s an awesome track with an awesome vibe with the port and the city. It’s a very special Grand Prix and I look forward to it.”

Carlos: “I’m very excited. Monaco is the special one of the year and running in the first laps of FP1 always feels special. And when it comes to qualifying, it’s probably one of the best qualifying sessions of the year. You need to be very committed and very determined!”
