AUDIO MATT CAMPBELL ON THE BATHURST 12HR WIN

Today Matt Campbell along with team mates Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen and the Earl Bamber Team won the Bathurst 12 Hour event outright at Mount Panorama in their Porsche 911 GT3-R.  In a record braking race that saw the longest race distance of all time,  with only a handful of safety cars.

We had a chat with Matt just after today’s win, he normally sends through the audio after an event when he gets a bit of quiet time, as you’ll hear in the background the celebrations had already kicked off here at Bathurst.

Just after this interview Matt told us that it was a very hectic race after the cool suits, helmet fan and drink bottle soon failed after his first stint for the event, all three drivers had to contend with this for almost two thirds of the race.

And just prior to our interview the team was cleared of any wrong doings by the race officials in the pass on Chaz Mostert late in the race.

As he said Matt heads back to Germany tomorrow and is racing at the 1000 miles of Sebring in March.  Todays race was also the first round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
