Back in August, just before the summer break we brought you the first installment of our epic American road trip, a spectacular journey that saw Daniel Ricciardo and an Aston Martin Red Bull Racing RB7 mix it with the traffic on San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and make a Death Valley pit stop, before heading for the Wild West panoramas of Utah’s Monument Valley and on to Sin City, Las Vegas for a night-time ride along the Strip.

Now, it’s time for part two of our trans-Continental road trip with our two favourite allies, as in this final episode Daniel hands the RB7 over to Max Verstappen for an incredible trip from Utah over the Rocky Mountains.

Max’s voyage takes in the Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway, the bulk of which is over 2750m above sea level, as well as an unexpected pit stop at the Twin Lakes General Store high in the hills of Colorado.

And after a 5,000km tour from our west coast starting point, the crew end up on the other shore, in Miami, where Max becomes king of the cruisers with a run along the streets of the city’s famed and fabulous art deco South Beach district. The Dutch racer also indulges in a little downtime on the beach itself with a brief pit stop by the seaside.

Finally, as the sun sets on our epic journey Max is joined by Daniel in a second double title-winning RB7 for a tandem blast through the city’s downtown
