Melbourne confirmed as 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ season opener.

The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ calendar was formally ratified overnight during a World Motor Sport Council meeting.
The opening round of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship™ will be held at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne on Sunday, 17 March 2019.

The FORMULA 1® AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2019 event dates are 14 – 17 March 2019.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Andrew Westacott, is delighted that the dates for the FORMULA 1® AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2019 have now been reconfirmed.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors from all over Australia and around the globe to Melbourne as we continue to enhance the fan experience each year,” Westacott said.
“The Formula One Australian Grand Prix is a benchmark for international events in Australia and has evolved to become a must-do four-day festival, attracting fans from around the world to soak up world-class racing along with premium hospitality, food, entertainment and cutting-edge technology and innovation,” Westacott continued.
With notable changes to next year’s driver line-up including Australia’s own Daniel Ricciardo donning the yellow and black for the first time, not to mention a Supercars Championship round and so much off-track action, the FORMULA 1® AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2019 is set to be one of the most highly anticipated Grands’ Prix of the year.
