Winton Motor Raceway’s Turn 4 will be repainted and renamed Enthusiast Corner for the opening round of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series on 25-27 September, the first change to the corner’s naming in five years.

The corner, long known as Coates Corner, will be finished in Enthusiast yellow for the round.

Enthusiast Motor Insurance was founded in 2010 and last year covered more than $2B of classic, modified, and enthusiast vehicles across Australia.

The naming rights accompany a wider commitment to the series, which will be known as the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series powered by Enthusiast Motor Insurance.

The new-look Winton round will feature five categories competing on Australia’s ‘action track’, headlined by the TA2 Muscle Car Racing Series, TFH Hire Legend Cars Australia, Australian IRC Racing Series, Formula RX8 and the Yokohama Tyre Australian Formula Ford Championship.

The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series powered by Enthusiast Motor Insurance will be held at Winton Motor Raceway, Victoria on September 25-27.

Work already underway at Winton Motor Raceway turn 4

Stacy Vickers – CEO, Enthusiast Motor Insurance

“The Super Series is the only national platform that delivers champagne taste exposure on a beer budget for grassroots racers,” said Vickers.

“You can be part of a great show without breaking the bank, and it’s as cost effective as national racing gets. That’s something we can really get behind.

“Winton’s Turn 4 is now Enthusiast Corner. Winton remains the only Australian circuit owned by a car club, with a calendar that runs well past racing into club days, historic meets, track days and drifting. It’s a motoring venue that happens to hold races, not the other way around so is a great place for us to have a presence and support that community.”

George Gambino – Promoter, Hi-Tec Oils Super Series“It’s great to have Enthusiast Motor Insurance on onboard for our new-look Hi-Tec Oils Super Series,” said Gambino.

“Enthusiast has been a great supporter of us and our competitors in the past and we are really looking forward to working with them now and into the future.

“I’ve known Stacy for a while. He is a racer and is very passionate about the sport, so continuing this relationship is very exciting news.

“Alongside all of our other great partners, we believe that Enthusiast Motor Insurance is a great brand to have on board for now and into the future.”
