Erebus Motorsport is pleased to welcome Argus Auctions and Mackay Goodwin as Primary Partners of Car #9 for this weekend’s Ipswich Super440.
The partnership brings together two well-established Australian businesses with Erebus Motorsport and young gun Jobe Stewart for the Queensland Raceway event.
Argus Auctions is one of Australia’s leading auction houses, specialising in the sale of vehicles, machinery, equipment and other assets for businesses, government and private sellers. With a strong presence across Australia, Argus has built its reputation around delivering a straightforward and accessible auction experience.
Mackay Goodwin is a leading Australia-wide insolvency, restructuring and corporate advisory firm.
Both businesses will feature prominently on Stewart’s #9 Erebus Motorsport Camaro throughout the Ipswich Super440.
The partnership will also see the Car #9 colour scheme updated from the Tron-inspired design carried at the previous round in Perth, with Argus’ distinctive yellow incorporated into the car for Ipswich.
The yellow also happens to carry a piece of Erebus Motorsport history, closely matching the colour of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 that delivered the team victory at the 2013 Bathurst 12 Hour.
Erebus Motorsport COO Carly Hammersley said the team was pleased to welcome both businesses to the Supercars Championship.
“It’s great to have Argus Auctions and Mackay Goodwin joining us for Ipswich and to be able to give both brands a strong presence on Car #9.”
“They’re both established Australian businesses with a great connection to the markets they operate in, and we’re looking forward to working with them and also giving them the opportunity to auction off some exclusive Erebus Motorsport memorabilia.”
Stewart said he was looking forward to carrying the Argus Auctions and Mackay Goodwin colours at the final round of the Sprint Cup before Enduros.
“The yellow looks really good on the car, and when I saw it I immediately thought of the old SLS that Erebus won the Bathurst 12 Hour with,” Stewart said.
“Obviously that was a pretty special car and a big part of the team’s history, so it’s pretty cool that the Argus yellow has that connection as well.
“I’m really looking forward to having Argus Auctions and Mackay Goodwin on the car at Ipswich and hopefully we can put on a good show for them.”
