Snap-on Tools is taking its Socket to Breast Cancer fundraising initiative from the workshop to the Supercars racetrack, joining forces with Penrite Racing to bring its partnership with the McGrath Foundation to Australia’s motorsport community.

The collaboration will put cancer care firmly in the spotlight at one of Australia’s biggest motorsport events, with the team and its drivers getting behind the fundraising effort both on and off the track.

Penrite Racing Supercar drivers Matt Payne and Kai Allen are in the driver’s seat helping Snap-on Tools with a bold new goal of raising a further $350,000 for the McGrath Foundation.

This is the third year of Snap-on’s partnership with the McGrath Foundation, following two years of fundraising that have generated more than half a million dollars for cancer care. The funds help support McGrath Cancer Care Nurses across Australia, providing specialist, life-changing care to individuals and families experiencing cancer.

This year will see the fundraising initiative hit one of the largest motorsport events in Australia, the Gold Coast 500, where limited-edition apparel worn on track by Payne and Allen throughout the race weekend will be auctioned off for charity.

Supercars Championship driver Matt Payne, who drives the #19 Penrite Mustang says, “Socket to Breast Cancer is a really important initiative and we are excited to be part of it as a team and do what we can to fight cancer.”

“Cancer impacts so many people and for us to be able to help raise funds through our racing allows us as a sport and the entire motorsport community to get behind a very worthwhile cause and make a difference to the lives of those who are impacted,” Matt said.

As the fundraising shifts into top gear, Snap-on’s iconic limited-edition Pink Tools will also return for another year to raise much-needed funds. They are sold throughout October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2025, over 180 Snap-on franchisees across Australia rallied behind Socket to Breast Cancer, wrapping trucks in pink, selling pink tool kits and raising donations across the country. Kai Allen, Driver #26 Penrite Mustang says, “We’re eager to see everyone getting behind Socket to
Breast Cancer and support the amazing work of Snap-on in bringing this initiative into the Supercars paddock.”

“Cancer has such a significant impact on so many families around Australia, so for us as a team at Penrite Racing to be able to support this campaign is something that means a lot to all of us. We’ll be encouraging everyone to dig deep and get behind this important campaign throughout October,” says Kai.

Paul Lynch, Managing Director of Snap-on Tools ANZ, says “We’re pleased to be returning as a partner of the McGrath Foundation and to see our partners and the wider motorsport community get behind Socket to Breast Cancer this year. Their support demonstrates just how much this cause resonates beyond our own industry.

“Motorsport has an incredibly passionate and engaged community, and we have a real opportunity to use that platform to raise awareness and funds for people experiencing cancer. Cancer has touched the lives of so many Australians, including within our own Snap-on community, which makes supporting the McGrath Foundation and its work particularly meaningful to us.”

Brenton Grove, CEO of Penrite Racing said, “We’re proud to be supporting the Socket to Breast Cancer initiative in 2026 together with our partner, Snap-on.”

“The ability for us to raise much-needed funds for such a worthwhile cause is certainly something we’re proud to play a part in and we encourage all our fans and the broader Supercars community to get behind this campaign that will help the McGrath Foundation continue its life-changing work across the country.”
