Erebus Motorsport is proud to confirm that Jobe Stewart will step up to a full-time Supercars drive in 2026, taking the wheel of the #9 Erebus Motorsport Camaro.
Stewart’s journey with Erebus began at just 13 years old when he joined the team’s Academy as one of its first young talents. Since then he’s climbed through the ranks from his early days in the Toyota 86 Series in 2022, to winning the Super3 title in 2023, before impressing again in Super2 last year with a race win at Bathurst and a podium at Sandown.
In 2025, Stewart made his main game debut as a co-driver for Erebus, teaming up with Cooper Murray in the #99 Camaro for the endurance campaign. The pair proved to be a dangerous combination from the outset, finishing seventh at The Bend 500, where Stewart showed he could mix it with the full-time Supercars field. They then delivered an impressive fourth-place finish at Bathurst, having been in the fight for the win until a late-race incident shattered what would have been a dream result for the pair and back-to-back Bathurst victories for Erebus.
Now, the 21-year-old from Mount Gambier will make the full-time leap to the Supercars grid on a multi-year deal, marking the next step in Erebus’ long-term commitment to developing emerging talent.
“It’s been a long journey to get here, but one I’ve loved every step of the way,” Stewart said. “Erebus has been my home since I was a kid and to now be stepping into the #9 Camaro full-time is something really special.
“From 86s to Super3 and Super2, the Academy and the team has given me every opportunity to learn and grow, both on and off the track. I’ve learned a lot working alongside Cooper this season too and I can’t wait to hit the ground running next year.”
Erebus Motorsport CEO Barry Ryan said Stewart’s elevation was a proud moment for the team and a reflection of what the Erebus Academy was built to achieve.
“Jobe has earned this opportunity. He’s been part of the Erebus family for a long time and has developed into a complete driver through hard work and consistency.
“His results in Super2 and his performances across the endurance season showed he’s ready to take the next step. We’re really proud to see another of our Academy drivers progress all the way to the main game, that’s what the program is all about.”
Erebus Team Owner Betty Klimenko said Stewart’s promotion embodies the very reason why the Erebus Academy was founded.
“When we created the Erebus Academy, it wasn’t about ticking a box, it was about building a genuine pathway for young people in motorsport,” Klimenko said. “Jobe’s journey is the perfect example of what can happen when you give someone the opportunity and the support to grow.
“I’ve watched him come through every stage of this team and to now see him moving into a full-time seat is incredibly rewarding. It’s proof that what we’re building is working and that the future of Erebus, and the sport, is in good hands.”

Car #99 driver Murray, who will enter his second full-time season in 2026 with Erebus, said he’s looking forward to having Stewart as his teammate.
“I’ve known Jobe for a few years now and watched him come through the ranks. He’s fast, switched on and a great teammate,” said Murray. “We worked really well together this year and I think we’ll push each other in the right way next season.
“It’s going to be exciting to be part of one of the youngest driver pairings on the grid and I know the whole team will be behind us, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can all achieve together next year.”
