JUST OVER 12MTHS AGO WE HEARD THAT BRODIE KOSTECKI WAS GOING TO RACE A TA2 CAR

Just over twelve months ago we heard that Brodie Kostecki was going to race a TA2 car.

It took a while, but it was certainly worth the wait!

Easing himself into the racing weekend, Brodie finished his qualifying session with the fifth fastest time.

Teammate Paul Morris was fifth in the opening race of the weekend, while Brodie was on the podium in third for his first race behind the wheel.

The pair then combined to claim second behind Alice Buckley and Tim Slade in the Saturday Enduro.

Sunday brought another fifth place for Kostecki in the opening sprint, while Morris brought the car home in seventh as the team sought to save a green set of tyres for the final enduro.

Morris started the race and handed the Norwell Motorplex Mustang the Kostecki for the second stanza of the 45 minute Enduro.

The Shell V-Power Racing driver traded signage with Craig Lowndes as the #67 moved into podium contention. 

That became first place when Tim Slade stopped the Chevrolet Racing Castrol Edge Camaro on the access road between Turns 3 and 6.

So that TA2 debut finally happened and ended in the best possible way for Kostecki and Morris!

More importantly it was racing at its best for the pair. The smiles on their faces throughout the weekend was gold and Brodie Kostecki was in what Happy Gilmour would describe as his ‘happy place.’

A true gentleman whenever our paths crossed and always obliging with the photo opportunities.
