Penrite Racing has uncovered its 2023 Bathurst 1000 livery amongst its fans on top of Mount Panorama. Matt Payne and Kevin Estre (car 19) and David Reynolds and Garth Tander (car 26) unveiled the distinctive look in front of fans on Tuesday in the campground.

Penrite Brand Manager Jarrod Harding said:

Penrite are thrilled to unveil our new Penrite Racing Bathurst livery to the fans at the mountain this week. We had a great time last year interacting with the campers and the fans, so we thought it’s something we should definitely do again.”

We have always designed our cars around reinforcing Penrite’s proud Australian history or a particular product, however at Bathurst we usually like to try and sneak in some chrome gold that shines on the broadcast. The combination of black and gold is special, however this year we wanted something different, which lead to a chat with Designer Peter Hughes who suggested a the brushed copper effect, matched with the strong black and mono logos, which really gives the car a unique and sleek look that is sure to turn heads.”

It’s probably the first time we have just designed a car to be clean and cool.”

Matt Payne said:

I am really excited for the livery, I think it looks awesome, the base colour is really different to recent Penrite Racing cars and brings a new look to the car.

Being Bathurst, it is the biggest weekend of the year combined with a lot of unknowns with the Gen 3 car and changes. It will be interesting for the fans, and I hope we have a speedy car come Sunday that allows us to fight for the win and I am looking forward to sharing the car with Kevin again.

Garth Tander said:

The Penrite Mustang will absolutely stand out from the crowd at Bathurst this weekend. Penrite racing have done a great job again with the livery, so really excited about that. Obviously with Bathurst itself we are looking for another strong weekend off the back of Sandown with matt and Kevin’s performance as the first Mustang home on Sunday.

For Dave and I, we were looking really strong early. The team did a great job at Sandown but we all know what a challenge Bathurst is however we are really excited to meet that challenge.”
