SUPERCARS RACES 14 AND 15 DARWIN TRIPLE CROWN REPORTS
The final day of the Supercars Darwin Triple Crown saw the championship race twice in the Darwin heat, Races and 14 and 15 saw mixed up podiums, with Matt Stone Racing & Jack Le Brocq scoring their maiden wins in the fianl rac today, read our reports below.
Race 14
Red Bull Ampol Racing locked out the right side of the front two rows for race 14, with Feeney on pole from Heimgartner, van Gisbergen and Kostecki. All eyes however were on Cameron Waters who had returned to the circuit with a rather pristine looking Monster Energy Mustang, given the fireball that had erupted in and around the car the day before. Despite qualifying well down the order, the mere fact that the car had returned to the circuit after an all-night repair was a victory in itself.
The field managed to negotiate the opening six corners without concern before all-chaos broke loose at Turn 7. Declan Fraser and Matt Payne had a moment with Payne spinning in the middle of the circuit, where he was hit by Jack Smith and Fraser ran across the infield with a punctured right front tyre. Jack Le Brocq was caught in the melee and speared across the outside grass with significant damage to the rear of his Truck Assist Camaro.

Feeney continued to lead from Heimgartner, van Gisbergen, Brown and Golding as the first cars made their compulsory stop on lap 10.
It became a Red Bull Ampol Racing 1-2 when Heimgartner made his stop on lap 19. Feeney responded a lap later as van Gisbergen continued to circulate in the lead. The reigning champion slotted back into 3rd behind Feeney and Heimgartner when he made his pit stop on lap 26.
Shane van Gisbergen harried the BJR driver for the remainder of the lap and then struck with a pass at Turn 5 on lap 27. From there the two Red Bull Ampol racing drivers remained in 1st and 2nd to the chequered flag.
Broc Feeney took the win over teammate van Gisbergen with Heimgartner 3rd. Kostecki, Brown, Golding, Jones, Fullwood, Pye and Percat completed the top 10 finishers.

Race 15
Jack Le Brocq lined up his MSR Camaro in P1, in what was his first ever Supercar’s pole position. Andre Heimgartner shared the front row, with race 13 winner Mark Winterbottom and Broc Feeney on Row 2.
Le Brocq handled the start perfectly to head Heimgartner, Winterbottom and Feeney through the opening corners without incident. Disaster struck championship leader Brodie Kostecki near Turn 4 after contact with Anton de Pasquale at the Hairpin on the opening lap saw the #99 Coca Cola Erebus Motorsport Camaro wobble back to the garage with damage to the right front suspension. He eventually returned to the track three laps behind the leader.
Cars started to peel off the track for their compulsory stops from lap 10, while Feeney was the first of the leaders to stop on lap 17 of 35. Le Brocq, Winterbottom and Heimgartner responded a lap later to avoid any possible undercut.
While Le Brocq returned to the track with the effective race lead from Heimgartner, Mark Winterbottom fell behind Will Brown, with van Gisbergen in close company.

As the laps counted down, Jack Le Brocq continued to maintain his lead with an almost 2 second gap to Heimgartner and Feeney a further 5.8 seconds behind. Shane van Gisbergen moved into 5th, while a late stop for Cameron Waters saw the Monster Energy Mustang leapfrog Winterbottom for 6th.
Le Brocq took his second Supercars race victory from Heimgartner and Feeney. Brown, van Gisbergen, Waters, Winterbottom Davison, Hazelwood and Reynolds rounded out the top 10.
“I wanted to make sure I got off the line, my starts have been average,” Jack Le Brocq told Fox Sports. “Andre were there or there about for the first couple of laps, but we had an awesome car so thanks to everyone at MSR.”
“The heart rate is still going! It will take a while to come back down I think.”
