One of the world’s leading engine belt and component manufacturers, Dayco, returns to Australia’s Supercars Championship for the 2022 season.

Dayco once again teams up with the Blanchard Racing Team (BRT) and highly talented driver Tim Slade on the #3 CoolDrive Auto Parts Ford Mustang for their second season in the world’s most competitive Touring Car championship.

Dayco returns with a much higher profile home on the BRT Mustang Supercar this season, the windscreen banner. This bold and unmissable placement of the company’s industry renowned logo will keep Dayco at the trade’s front of mind when it comes to the replacement of premium quality engine belts, balancers, tensioners, pulleys, thermal management components and much more.

After an extraordinary debut season in 2021 that saw Slade and the team gain 15 top ten and three top five race results, the stage is set for an even stronger second season. The team’s engineers have left no stone unturned in the re-engineering of the car throughout the comparatively short end of season break.

The team also enters the new season with a new engine supplier, making this Dayco sponsored team one of only two in the field (the other being multiple Champion Ford team DJR) to have the globally renowned Ford Performance engine development and tuning expert Rob Herrod responsible for their horsepower.

According to Dayco Vice President – Aftermarket Asia Pacific, Arnold Mouw, all is set for the company’s biggest season yet in motorsport.

“All of us at Dayco here and across the world were so impressed with BRT’s debut season. The work that has taken place since then to make this Supercar even faster has been outstanding and we are ecstatic to be across the windscreen for the 2022 season.

“We share the expectation of the sport’s fans and our trade customers for the new season and we look forward to watching Tim Slade and the team once again give the rest of the field a real challenge armed with a brand new powerplant and several other engineering developments,” Mr Mouw stated.

Team Owner Tim Blanchard warmly welcomes Dayco back for the new season.

“We have been fortunate to have retained our foundation sponsor group and to see Dayco increase their presence on the car this year.

“There is no doubt that our Supercar collaboration on the track has also generated increased interest in Dayco’s quality aftermarket product range through CoolDrive Auto Parts. We have no doubt that this trend will continue as the Supercar season progresses,” Mr Blanchard said.

The new 13 round season is planned to visit race and street circuits across Australia and New Zealand from March to December, forming an exciting and historic year for the world’s most competitive Touring Car Championship. This will be the final season of the current specification Supercars, with the new Gen3 car regulations to be introduced from 2023.
