Brad Jones Racing gets set for virtual action as Supercar drivers Nick Percat, Todd Hazelwood, Macauley Jones and Jack Smith team up with elite gamers Jake Burton, Madison Down and Jackson Souslin-Harlow for the 2021 Supercars Eseries.

The six-round Eseries will begin this Wednesday the 25^th of August, running weekly through to the 29^th of September. Things are a little different this year, with drivers fighting for two Championships – the All Stars, for Supercar and Dunlop Super2 Drivers and the Pro Series for elite gamers. 

After taking part in the Supercars All Stars Eseries in 2020, BJR Supercar drivers Nick, Todd, Macauley and Jack will be on a rotating schedule to once again get behind the wheel of their simulators for some virtual fun.

Kicking off the All Stars Eseries for round one, we’ll see Hazelwood behind the wheel of the Dunlop Super Dealer Racing Commodore and Jones in his Coca-Cola Racing Supercar. In the Pro Series, Burton lines up in the Dunlop Racing Commodore, Madison in the RYCO 24•7 Racing Supercar and Souslin-Harlow in the R&J Batteries Commodore.

Burton, who returns for his 3^rd Eseries campaign with BJR, finished the 2020 Supercars Eseries Championship in seventh, with 2 podiums, 2 top five positions and 6 top ten results. 

“I’m stoked to be moving on to my 3rd year with the team and I can’t thank Brad and the crew enough for their loyalty and continued commitment,” Burton said. 

“My goal for the season is to be consistently in the top 5, it’s something I should have achieved more regularly last year, but hopefully I can utilise the fantastic resources available to me at BJR, including the engineering team that I grew close to in 2020, to ensure that this goal becomes a reality this year.”  

Returning for his second year with the team after a 3^rd place finish in 2020, Down scored an impressive race win, 7 podiums and four top five positions. Madison is looking forward to joining the team for another season, “It’s a great feeling to be back with Brad Jones Racing again for 2021,” he said. 

“Brad and the whole team at BJR were incredible last year, In what was a fantastic year, achieving a solid 3rd place result in the championship, we’ll be working as a team to build on those results for 2021. The engineering team last year, particularly Tony Woodward and Andrew Edwards were a huge help behind the scenes, ensuring that we always had the competitive advantage over our rivals. The continuity that we have in the team will be a massive help in our pursuit of podiums.

“My goal for this season is to be consistently fighting for race wins and podiums. We also need to ensure we recognise our strength and that has been the consistency, so it will be important to manage the risk versus reward as well in what will be a super competitive season. I can’t wait to get to work.” 

Souslin-Harlow, finishing in the top ten in his first Eseries campaign is excited to return for his second year with BJR, “I’m really looking forward to returning to the Eseries this year with BJR for my second year,” he said. 

“Last year was a big eye opener on how competitive everyone was. I’m super thankful to everyone at BJR for giving me another opportunity for a second year running. I will be giving it all I have this year to achieve some consistent results working together with Jake, Madison and the BJR Supercar drivers to push each other forward each race.”
