Standout Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series rookie Lachlan Mineeff has announced a community partnership with the Sydney chapter of the world’s only peer-to-peer network exclusively for entrepreneurs, EO (Entrepreneurs Organisation).

Unlike other business networking organisations, EO sets rigorous criteria for those who wish to join, with its members required to be business owners, founders or majority shareholders.

According to EO Sydney General Manager Pip Kearney, EO members have exclusive access to experiences not available anywhere else.

“By setting out specific conditions for people to be able to join EO, we ensure our members are able to connect deeply and relate to one another through shared experiences,” Pip said.

“The level of trust between our members allows them to discuss situations they’ve been through and to learn and grow based on shared knowledge.”

The community relationship with Lachlan Mineeff was created when Pip and the EO team were brainstorming new ideas for member events.

“When we were looking to run a member event at Sydney Motorsport Park, we were put in touch to Lachlan by some EO Members including his father John, and the conversations grew from there,” she said.

“We were looking for the chance to host some special events and many of our members are passionate car enthusiasts, so when we started talking to Lachlan about his motorsport programme, we identified a prime opportunity.

“Lachlan shares the same ambition as the business owners in our organisation – he has really committed himself to his passion and he has demonstrated determination and hunger for success. He’s still only young but he’s already achieved some very impressive results.”

EO members were treated to their first taste of the new community partnership during a function at Sydney Motorsport Park on 9 June. Mineeff was interviewed on stage alongside Team SYDNEY Supercars drivers Fabian Coulthard and Jonathon Webb, before EO members were invited to complete laps of the circuit in their road cars, as well as being treated to thrilling passenger rides in Mineeff’s Purple Sector Volkswagen Golf TCR car.

“It was an awesome evening, I haven’t seen everyone smile so much,” Pip said.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of our members – it was their first chance to drive around a track and certainly the first time they had been for rides in a race car.

“Moving forward, we’re excited to collaborate with Lachlan and his team on co-branding and exploring opportunities to leverage support among our membership base.”

Mineeff said the community partnership with EO has already yielded some strong results.

“It was a really enjoyable night, to create an experience for the EO members at SMP, especially seeing their reactions after I took them for a ride in my TCR car,” Mineeff said.

“I was certainly blown away with the professionalism of the event, and although I’m not a member myself, it was fantastic to get a first-hand experience of the calibre of events that EO create.

“We’re looking forward to working on some more opportunities throughout the year, in conjunction with my race program – the goal is to help EO increase their membership.”

EO Sydney invites membership applications from business owners who meet three of the following five criteria: minimum revenue of $5M AUD, EBITDA of at least $500,000, year-on-year growth, five or more staff and a unique field of business. The total global revenue of the business must also be at least $1M USD.
