REEF MCCARTHY REVEALS TOWNSVILLE SPONSOR

Erebus Academy’s newest recruit Reef McCarthy will showcase a brand new livery when the Super3 Series hits the track in Townsville next weekend.
McCarthy’s Townsville debut will be supported by Griffith Corporation, an Australian owned and operated business who are well recognised in the Australian freight industry.
Griffith Corporation has had a long standing relationship with Erebus Motorsport, extending back to the team’s roots in GT racing.
Owner Mark Griffith is pleased to be able to expand on the relationship with Erebus by providing support to one of the team’s up-and-coming Academy drivers.
“When the opportunity came up to support Reef in Townsville, we were really excited about it,” Griffith said.
“We conduct a lot of business in North Queensland and we have had a great relationship with Erebus for a very long time.
“To be able to expand on our relationship with the team and support Reef as part of their Academy program is a great opportunity for us.”

Griffith Corporation’s signage will take position on both doors of McCarthy’s #61 with affiliated brand Daimler Trucks Brisbane taking position on the front of the bonnet.
With 2021 marking McCarthy’s debut in Super3, the 17-year-old is pleased to represent a brand as notable as Griffith Corporation.
“I’m super excited to have the support from Griffith Corporation,” he said.
“Mark Griffith is someone who has been around motorsport for a long time and I’m really excited that he’s willing to put his faith in me, especially in my rookie season.
“I hope I can get some good results for him and I’m proud that he’s willing to invest his time and money into my career.”
McCarthy will also be representing anti-violence campaign ‘Stop. One Punch Can Kill,’ an organisation whose vision is to stop street and social violence.
“I chose to represent the ‘Stop. One Punch Can Kill’ campaign as I think it’s an important issue that people my age should be aware of,” McCarthy said.
The campaign focuses on highlighting the links between alcohol, drugs and street violence to young people across Australia.
Reef will showcase his new livery next weekend at the Townsville 500, July 9-11.
