Kelly Racing has temporarily set up shop in Queensland ahead of the Darwin Triple Crown and Darwin SuperSprint double-header at Hidden Valley Raceway early next month. The team is being hosted by Offshore Powerboat team, 222 Offshore, based in Ormeau, QLD.

222 Offshore race a Class One SuperCat Extreme boat which Kelly Racing team owner Todd Kelly had the pleasure of racing in Harvey Bay back in 2018. The forty-foot boat features two Mercury Racing supercharged V8 engines which pack 1075hp each, enough to get the boat to close to 140mph.

The facilities at 222 Offshore are a welcome upgrade from the farm shed the team prepped its Ford Mustang Supercars from before last weekend’s Sydney SuperSprint where the team scored its first podium and pole position since switching to the Ford Mustang at the beginning of the season.

The team has received a pallet of parts from its Braeside headquarters in Melbourne including some consumable parts to keep the engines fresh and some new composite body panels. The team will spend the next week getting the cars ready for Darwin before getting some well-deserved rest after being on the road for close to three weeks now.
