“It’s really good to get a podium, although I would’ve liked to have been a couple of spots up, but Scotty (McLaughlin) and SVG (Shane van Gisbergen) were too quick today. My car was very fast out of the gate this morning, but I lost some pace compared to the rest of the field when the day went on, so we’ll have a good look at it tonight and make a few changes for tomorrow. Overall, it was a great race. Chaz (Mostert) was on the back of me right from the start. I was trying to conserve tyres because I knew there was a long way to go, and he almost passed me a couple of times – luckily, I was able to hold him off. It was also good to see some different strategies across the board. At the end of the day, I think we’re all happy to be back racing. What the sport has taught me over the last three months is that I love getting in the car and going racing and seeing who gets to the finish line first.”

“It was a pretty good day for me today. Qualifying was good – I think we did well there. The car is nice to drive, we just need to get out in front first so we can get clean air for tomorrow’s race. I found it pretty hard to pass around the Eastern Creek track too, which is why qualifying well tomorrow is so important. I had a shocking start in today’s race. My clutch went to the floor and Scott (McLaughlin) got the jump on me, but I was lucky to hold the rest of the field off – I guess no one’s done a start in a while so we’re a bit rusty. I had a great battle with Scotty (McLaughlin) to the finish line but wasn’t able to get the job done unfortunately. I’m really looking forward to the two races tomorrow though.”
