B12HR WAKE UP HOSTELS COMBINED SEDANS SUPPORT CATEGORY

One of the fantastic support categories at this years LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12hr is the Wake Up Hostels Combined Sedans, and amazing selection of cars are entered for the category, with 55 cars on the grid.

The category is lead well from the front with Steven & Bronwyn Lacey holding the reigns, Steven has been posting a few teasing snippets about their drivers and we thought we’d bring them together into one post for you to check out!

Velocity Magazine will of course be at this weekends Bathurst 12HR and we will have images up on our website from this category, along with stories and news from the class.

Bayley Hall

Bayley Hall will be running his MARC 1 Ford V8 in the combined sedans, plus he’ll also be in the main B12HR race, we are supporting Bayley this weekend with photos and media, you can read a preview we did on the 16 year old here.

WUHCS: “Well done Bayley, we look forward to having you on our Wake Up! Combined Sedans grid.”

Jimmy Vernon

WUHCS: A late entry to the grid in a brand new TA2 is another young gun Jimmy Vernon.

Jimmy raced TCR with GRM last year and was the 2017 Toyota 86 Racing Series Champion.

Jimmy has been racing at State and National level for the past 7 years, including Formula Ford, Formula 4 and Production Cars.

He will be one to look for and the pointy end of the field.

Michael Stillwell

WUHCS: Keeping with the Mustang theme of the last few days here’s another that will line up on the Wake Up! Combined Sedans grid. The difference being it’s not a Spaceframe, nor a TA2. The Stillwell Mustang will race in the Chassis class.

It will be piloted by our most mature driver in the field Michael Stillwell, who follows in his father’s footsteps as a racer with over 50 years of experience. The Stillwell Motor Group last year celebrated 70 years in the motor industry started by Michael’s late father Bib.

Steve Hay

WUHCS: A regular competitor, Steve Hay will return to the Wake Up! Combined Sedans in 2020 in his very quick VK Commodore. He is sure to be at the top end of the Chassis class based on past form and no doubt will be mixing it with the V8 Touring Cars and Spaceframed Sports Sedans.

Paul Boschert

WHUCS: Paul Boschert and his Red Corvette are ready to RUMBLE in the Wake Up! Combined Sedans at the Bathurst 12 Hour at the end of this month. The car has undergone upgrades since it last appeared at Mount Panorama and is bound to be a pace setter and may even hit the 300 km/h Mark on Conrod Straight. He’s been close before.

Terry Mayfield

WUHCS: The most mature car in the Wake Up! Combined Sedans field goes to Terry Mayfield’s V8 HQ. Terry is a regular at Bathurst and whilst by no means the fastest car on the grid, it’s probably done the most laps over the years due to its undying reliability. Terry competes in the Chassis class which this year has been split into three divisions.

Karl and Chris Begg

WUHCS: Our previous post had our most mature race car on the Wake Up! Combined Sedans grid. Now to the newest, both having a fresh 2020 Motorsport Australia logbooks. These beauties being an M3 and M4 come from the Begg stable. Karl and Chris Begg regularly run with Combined Sedans and cant wait to let the Bmers loose on Mt Panorama.

Scott Cameron

WHUCS: Scott Cameron will return this year to Mt Panorama on the grid of Wake Up! Combined Sedans with some unfinished business from 2019. Scott is piloting this mean looking Spaceframed Sports Sedan and will be one to watch.

Phil Ryan

WUHCS: Phil Ryan is only relatively new to Sports Sedans, but he certainly bagged a few trophies in 2019. He’s now locked and loaded to be on the grid for the Wake Up! Combined Sedans in the Chassis class.

Steve Coulter

WUHCS: It’s not Steve Coulter’s first time to Bathurst, but it will be the first time he straps himself into the mint TA2 when he lines up on the Wake Up! Combined Sedans grid in a little over a weeks time.

Bradley Neill

WUHCS: Here’s two more Aussie build beasts competing in the Wake Up! Combined Sedans. Bradley Neill and Bayley Hall (as above) will be hauling these V8 powered hot hatches around the Mountain from next Friday.

Mark Tracey

WUHCS: Mark Tracey is a new competitor with Wake Up! Combined Sedans this year and his dedication hasn’t gone un-noticed with a licence upgrade, engine swap and a new livery that supports our brave fire fighters.
