Aussie driver Bart Horsten will join Lanan Racing for a 2020 campaign at tracks around the United Kingdom and in France.

I’m very excited to announce that I will be competing with Lanan Racing in the BRDC British F3 Championship in 2020 and am looking forward to my second season of European racing, competing at tracks including Silverstone and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps” said Horsten.

“I had my first experience driving the Tatuus BRDC British F3 at the Lanan team’s driver evaluation day at Donington Park in October, and since then I have had several other outings in the car. I am really looking forward to joining British contender Josh Mason in the team’s 2020 line-up.”

Horsten commented: “I’m very excited to be moving up to the BRDC British F3 Championship and have really enjoyed working with the team since our first day at Donington. That day was great, the car was amazing and it was an honour to meet F1 driver George Russell too. I’m very much looking forward to a competitive year with Graham Johnson and the Lanan team in 2020.”

Team Principal Graham Johnson said: “Bart has done a brilliant job with us in the testing we’ve carried out so far, and we were very keen to get him onboard for the 2020 season. We’re delighted that Bart has chosen to race with us and while he’s done some single seater racing, his experience of slicks and wings is just one season, so that makes his performances in F4 and in testing all the more impressive. He’ll be one to watch next year.”

“I’m really looking forward to the new challenges that British F3 will pose, as the car is quite different and a lot faster than what I have previously driven. I also know that I’ll have to be at the top of my game to be competitive in the 2020 British F3 Championship, as the series has such high quality drivers and teams competing on tracks such as Silverstone and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.”

“Lanan Racing has a history of competing at the front of the British F3 field and is held in high respect by those who have previously driven for them, such as F1 driver George Russell who attended the team’s driver evaluation day in October. Graham Johnson and the rest of the team are hungry for strong results and I know they will do their best to provide me with a competitive car. Now I can’t wait for the year to begin!”
