CITROEN DS3 CUP BACK UP AND RUNNING

A few weeks ago Velocity Magazine featured a video that went viral with over 850,000 views and reached more than 1.8million people of the Citroen DS3 Cup major crash when the heavens opened, the owners of the class contacted us back then with an update on how the drivers fared.

They have again contacted us to say that the class is back up again and running with most of the cars rebuilt, along with a couple of new cars.

The CRASH VIDEO:

Martin Jensen, the promotor of the DS3 Cup and owner of Insight Racing:  “It was a hard pill to swallow for us, but we got back to work as soon as we made it to the shop. On the Monday, I bought three cars and started preparing them – even though nobody had made any final decisions at that time.”

“During the first week, all three cars went out of the shop. This goes to prove that absolutely everyone who had the opportunity to make a new car – financially – have done so. And furthermore it has all been run by the boys. They are the ones who want to race, and they have stepped up to the job on this one. Awesome. ”

“It has been incredibly hard work, but when we make it to the finals in two weeks, I’m sure many will be surprised that we managed to get so many cars back in the game. We love to surprise everyone positively, and this really highlights what this class is all about. We’re always helping each other – even when the going gets tough.”

A full new build of a car would be somewhere between 45-50k Australian dollars, so it has surely been a big challenge for everyone to make it through this late in the season.
