AUDIO: MATT CAMPBELL ON A TOUGH IGTC CALIFORNIA 8HR RACE

After a strong start for the Wright Motorsports team and an even stronger first stint for Matt Campbell in the California 8HR, round two of the Intercontinental GT Challenge the end result was not what he and the team wanted.

Mid race the Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R developed gear selection issues when the car was running in the top three.  Earlier Campbell jumped into the car after the second pitstop and in his 60 minutes run made up 4 positions and was the fastest car on the track at the time.

Here is Wright Motorsports tweet during Matts stint.

As we have done with Matt for the past couple of years we have his exclusive Audio Report for Velocity Magazine after the race, its a little noisy there.

Unfortunately the team tried to repair the car before the race finished but were unable to do so resulting in a DNF.  Start contrast to the winning result from round one of the IGTC from the Bathurst 12 Hour.

Round three of the Intercontinental GT Challenge gets underway at the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium 25-28th July.  Matt and team mates Dirk Werner and Dennis Olsen all sit in second spot in the standings.
