BATHURST 12 HOUR DAY ONE SUPPORT CLASSES ONLY

The first day of the Bathurst 12 Hour has been run with 3 of the support classes having practice, qualifying and race one, in the Bathurst Skye Sands Combined Sedans Geoff Taunton (Ford Focus Marc 1) was first from George Miedecke (Dodge Challenger) with Tony Groves third (Mazda 3 Marc 1).

In the Formula Ford 50th Anniversary first race Joshua Buchan (Listec WIL-05K) won from Mathius Beche (Spectrum 010) and Jayden Ojeda (Spirit K08-2)

The final support class to have a race was the Group S Classic Sports Car Racing, Paul Blackie (Chevrolet Corvette S) took the win Geoffrey Morgan and Stan Adler both in Porsche 911 Carrera cars, the race was shortened after a number of incidents saw 7 cars DNF.

The 2019 Radical Australia Cup class had practice and their qualifying today, Christopher Perini took pole in his SR3RSX Radical.  Their first race for the weekend gets under way at 7.15am tomorrow morning.  Each of the other classes have one race left on both Thursday and Friday.
 
The Bathurst 12 Hr cars saw one of each make of car run from the track to the city, the 10 cars did a lap behind the safety car then drove through the streets into the city centre for an hours display where the fans got to mingle with the drivers and the cars.
