Following the summer break, the young Australian driver teams up once again with Darryl O’Young in the #991 Craft-Bamboo Racing Porsche GT3, which for this Chinese round features a striking new livery courtesy of Shang Peng Gao Ke.
“It’s very exciting to have Shang Peng on car 991 in Shanghai,” Aidan said. “Shang Peng is well-known in the IT Applications and Health Science industry. It’s great to have their collaboration with Craft-Bamboo Racing as they embody the same qualities.
“I look forward to welcoming their 10,000 guests and employees to the stands next weekend, as we push for a strong result in an amazing feature livery.”
Aidan has secured Silver Cup points in every round of the championship to date and is looking forward to returning to Shanghai and a circuit he knows particularly well.
“I really enjoy driving at the Shanghai International Circuit,” he said. “I have had some great races there in Formula Cars and LMP3 more recently, so I am excited to take it on with the Porsche. It is very technical for the drivers as it tests every corner type, and the long back straight should hopefully be a strength for the 911.
“Craft-Bamboo Racing is working very well with great attention to detail, which will help us to execute perfect stints and races to close out the season. That is the primary focus and will bring the maximum results.”
