TEKNO MOTORSPORT TO RACE A WSM AUSSIE RACING CAR
Jonathon Webb is set to race a Western Sydney Motorsport prepared Mustang at the next round of the Aussie Racing Cars at Tailem Bend. Team owner Craig Thompson today announced the partnership with Webb and Tekno.
“We are excited to announce that current Supercar enduro driver and 2016 Bathurst Winner Jonathon Webb will be running one of our Mustangs at the next ARC round in a few weeks time, the car will be wrapped in the traditional Tekno Motorsport colours”.
The car Webb will run has been campaigned this year by Troy Dontas and is the ex Peter Carr car.
The fifth round of the Aussie Racing Car series is at the South Australian circuit of The Bend Motorsport Park, the country’s newest race track, it will be the first time the pocket rockets have run at the track and will be alongside the Supercars.
“Being the first time any of us [Aussie Car Drivers] have raced at the Bend will be a big leveler and we cannot wait to see Jono run in our car, it will certainly lift our drivers Justin Riggier and Blake Sciberras that extra level, and coming off a round win for Justin this is fantastic” said Thompson today.
