BAD CRASH IN THE LAMBORGHINI SUPER TROFEO AT SPA

Last night a video appeared on Facebook of a huge crash in the Lamborghini Super Trefeo event at Spa, two of the cars came together, Lamborghini Super Trofeo driver Fredrik Blomstedt and a track marshal were taken to hospital following a major crash during the second race of the series on Saturday.

Swedish driver Blomstedt was leading the race in the Bonaldi Motorsport  number 32 Huracan with around nine minutes of the race to go, when he got a tap from Lucas Mauron between Pouhon and Fagnes in heavy traffic.

Blomstedt’s car then veered right on to the grass and struck the tyres with huge force, injuring four of the marshals present at the adjacent post.

From the Circuit Officials Statement: “Four marshals and one rider were injured in the incident. All of them were immediately treated by the circuit’s medical staff. A marshal and the driver were transferred to the hospital for medical examination. Their injuries are not life-threatening.”
