QUEENSLAND RACEWAY UNDERGOING SAFETY UPGRADES
As reported earlier for the Supercars to race at Queensland Raceway in a few weeks time the FIA required the track to undergo a number of safety upgrades.
Today we have seen the first images of the new safety fences along the back straight and now over pitlane, the upgrades are a requirement to run events under CAMS – Confederation of Australian Motorsport which runs under the International FIA banner, and is the track licensee for Supercars (and Shannons Nationals events), its not known at this time if the same upgrades were required under the RACERS license the circuit runs under every other race meeting.

Is not yet clear what other safety measures are required, like run offs and the current tyre bundle system the track has adopted, which last month we saw images on Facebook of a car passing through it.
