SHELL V-POWER RACING HELP OUT TODD HAZELWOOD

After a somewhat lacklustre start to their Supercars Main Game campaign in the first 14 races for the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, Matt Stone Racing have called upon the expertise of the Shell V-Powers brains trust with Ludo Lacroix and Scott McLaughlin spending time with the fledgling team.

During today’s private test day (we believe Triple Eight Race Engineering actually hold the track booking) McLaughlin and Lacroix spent some time with Todd Hazelwood and the Matt Stone Racing team.

After a quick chat, the current series leader hopped into the ex-Shell V-Power Falcon and ran some laps of Queensland Raceway, upon his return there was a debriefing with Hazelwood and the Matt Stone staff, including Stone himself.

McLaughlin was quite animated in his description of what the car was doing around the circuit, which looked to be pretty much what Hazelwood has been experiencing in the season so far.

The Matt Stone Racing team will now go over the data from the run and compare with Hazelwoods data and know doubt make some “more” changes to the Falcon.  The Supercars are at Darwin’s Hidden Valley in two weeks times, it will be interesting to see what if any progress the team can make.
