HAZELWOOD READY FOR A MASSIVE MONTH OF ACTION

It’s a huge month ahead for Todd Hazelwood as he prepares for multiple events in three completely different cars throughout the next couple of weeks.

I’ve been busy preparing and building up to this month of September where I’ll be really pushing myself past my comfort zone, getting behind the wheel of an absolute monster. The World Time Attack Challenge starts next week and I will be competing in the Tanuki Racing Nissan S13 in the outright Pro class, aiming for lap records and fast top speeds. Recently I tested this car at Queensland Raceway and safe to say this piece of machinery is an absolute rocket ship. It will be a really cool challenge for me and I can’t wait to see how the team and I will perform together.

The S13 Nissan is capable of generating 1,700nm of torque and creating 2 tonnes of rear downforce at speeds over 300kmphr. This is by far the fastest piece of equipment I have ever strapped myself into and excited to feel the speed and acceleration at Sydney Motorsport Park next week.

After Sydney, I will be flying straight to Adelaide for the inaugural Airtouch 500 Supercars Championship Enduro at The Bend Motorsport Park. This event will be special for me, marking my first race meeting representing the iconic Shell V-Power Racing Team colours teaming up with Brodie Kostecki in the #38 DJR Ford Mustang.

Preparations for this event have been fantastic and I’m feeling super comfortable behind the wheel. The whole team at DJR have been amazing to work with and I’m feeling confident Brodie and I can fight for more success together in 2025.

500kms of racing around The Bend is going to be a big challenge, especially for the co-drivers. Most drivers have had less than one test day to get themselves comfortable behind the wheel of a Supercar this year and I think between a demanding circuit and lack of preparation is going to create some interesting racing and results. I’m fortunate I’ve been well prepared for this event and hoping this will show come race day on Sunday.

Whilst at The Bend, I will also be competing in Round #5 of the Trico Trans Am Series in my #1 TFH Racing Mustang. It’s cool to be doing double duties in two very different styles of cars and ready for the challenge. I believe the extra seat time will be a great advantage for me and I am keen to get out on track and see what we can do. My 2025 season in this series has been amazing so far, tasting victories and success at every event so far this year with a handy Series lead to go with it.

With the last three Trans Am events being in S.A, it’s special to be racing in front of a local crowd and hope to put on a show for everyone watching either trackside or at home.

Massive thank you to everyone who continues to support my journey. It’s a massive month ahead and can’t wait to share the success with you all!

Kind regards, Todd

  1. It’s absolutely criminal that Todd does not have a full-time ride. Put him in a competitive car and this guy will win races for you. Personally I’d give him Will Davison’s ride in 2026. The guy’s a weapon!!!
