BAYLEY HALL TESTS MARC CAR AT QUEENSLAND RACEWAY

Young Queensland racing driver Bayley Hall turned some heads on Monday last week when he got his first experience in a MARC Car at Queensland Raceway and after just 4 laps found his niche & posted a 1m.13sec time around Queensland Raceway.

Hall got to sample the MARC Ford Focus V8 of Jason Busk, the car was run this year at the Liqui-moly Bathurst 12 Hour Race – Invitational Class, but unfortunately did not finish, Busk also runs the car in National Sports Sedans and GT 1 classes.

“Driving the MARC car was like a dream come true it was unbelievable and unlike anything I have driven so far. The grip and braking ability felt almost rocket ship style,” Hall told Velocity Magazine.

“Compared to the friendly VE I race, to reach the higher speeds and then be able brake even later than ever, really arose my heart rate & pumped that adrenaline through my veins , I loved it and found total faith in the cars ability even though I only got 7 laps in it.”

“It really was an insane feeling and I could not get the smile off my face for days. This experience will hopefully set the scene for some possible future opportunities in the Marc cars and GT series which could be a major opening for my future career. ”

“Just wish I could’ve stayed longer than 7 laps, I had just found my sweet spot & was so keen to go faster and faster as I knew there was much more in it that I could perfect.”
