Supercheap Auto Racing’s Bayley Hall has completed his first official Repco Supercars Championship sessions as his highly anticipated debut weekend began at Queensland Raceway on Friday.
Competing in front of his home crowd, the 23-year-old completed 32 laps aboard the No. 15 Supercheap Auto Racing Chevrolet Camaro across the day’s two 30-minute practice sessions.
Hall made an impressive start to his debut weekend by recording the 15th-fastest time in Practice 1. His best lap of 1:10.1019 placed him less than half a second from the top of the timesheets and only two-tenths behind experienced Team 18 teammate Anton De Pasquale.
After describing his first roll out of pit lane as a surreal moment, Hall focused on steadily building his confidence throughout the day.
Hall continued to improve during Practice 2, lowering his best time by more than three-tenths of a second with a 1:09.7308 on his final lap to finish the session in 22nd position.
The valuable running allowed Hall to become more comfortable with the car and circuit ahead of his first Supercars qualifying sessions and races on Saturday.
Hall and the Team 18 run Supercheap Auto Racing crew will work through the data overnight ahead of his first Supercars race tomorrow.
Saturday’s action features two qualifying sessions from 10:00am and two 120-kilometre races across the Soft and Super Soft tyre compounds at 12:45pm and 4:15pm respectively. All the action can be viewed live on Fox Sports and Kayo.
All the action will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo.

Practice 2: 22nd – 1:09.7308
“It was very surreal rolling out of pit lane for my first Supercars practice session.
“The focus today was on building my confidence corner by corner and lap by lap. It’s a very different tyre and car to what I’m used to, so it was great to keep circulating and get plenty of laps under my belt.
“I built a lot of confidence across the two sessions, which gives us a good foundation heading into tomorrow.”
