A chaotic opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship is now complete.
The long week at Sydney Motorsport Park saw plenty of highs and progress for the Shell V-Power Racing Team, including the first podium of 2026 on Saturday night’s exciting race.
Brodie Kostecki got oh so close to a race win, steering his Shell V-Power Mustang to second and only just missing out on the opportunity to pass the race leader in the dying laps despite having a clear pace advantage.
Rylan Gray enjoyed a strong debut in his first event as a full time Repco Supercars Championship driver, with the highlight being a superb race on Sunday where he effectively steered his Shell V-Power Mustang from the rear of the field to finish in P11.

There are plenty more positives to take away from the weekend, with both cars showing strong race pace under all conditions.
And now, it’s a short turnaround to the next Championship battle, with the team preparing for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne next week.
