Jarrod Hughes, #118 Road Active Suspension, Chevrolet Camaro
“I’m feeling good heading into Mallala, and our goal is to stay consistent in order to maintain our lead in the championship. We had a solid test day there a few weeks ago, and the track is really cool. It’s narrow, which will make racing challenging, but it will definitely provide plenty of close action and entertainment. I’m looking forward to putting our best foot forward for the remainder of the season.”
Josh Thomas, #69 TFH Racing, Ford Mustang
“We tested last week down at Mallala, and it was really good, we had a fast car so we should be able to capitalise this weekend and hopefully move up to second in the championship. Mallala was a very busy track; it was super technical and tight, and the racing is going to be very close and interesting.”
Blake Tracey, #66 Hi-Tec Oils, Chevrolet Camaro
“I quite liked Mallala as a track after we tested there a few weeks ago. It’s probably one of my favourite tracks to just do laps around by myself but to actually have 15 odd cars around you, I think it’s going to be full on going around turn one and two. We’ve come off a strong weekend at The Bend and I’m keen to prove that I can jump in a different car and be just as fast and hopefully have another successful weekend at Mallala. I am hoping for a strong result, but I really just want to learn the track as much as I can before Trans Am race there in November”
Matt MacKelden – TA2 Category Manager
” Heading to Mallala this weekend I think will provide a refreshing challenge for many of the series drivers and although we have a smaller field for this round, there’s no doubt that the quality of the entry list is one of highest of the year. Mallala is a LEGACY track, steeped in history, so to be going there for the first time with these cars is exciting”.
