Attendees at the Avalon Australian International Airshow will be treated to sight-line viewing of the race on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Reigning Supercars Drivers Champion Will Brown joined the Red Bull Ampol Racing Team in 2024 and took the Supercars field by storm, raking up a massive five wins with podium finishes across all 12 events of the year. Back and ready to take out the championship again, Will will be keeping his wheels warm between the Melbourne SuperSprint and the ITM Taupō Super 440 when he races Matt Hall at the Avalon Australian International Airshow.

Supercar driver Will Brown says, “I am excited to be a part of the Avalon Air show this year. After getting my pilots licence in 2018 I have always wanted to attend but it has clashed with Supercar commitments. Luckily this year I get to bring my Supercar, linking both my hobbies together in one exciting show.

“It will be tough to beat the greatest air race pilot our country has ever seen, but I’m willing to take on the challenge and I’m excited to see who takes out the win – bring it on!”

Red Bull Air Race champion Matt Hall is a retired wing commander and top gun fighter pilot with the Royal Australian Air Force. Following his decorated career in the RAAF, Matt became the first Australian to compete in the Red Bull Air Race World Championships and then went on to accumulate seven wins and 25 podiums, making him the most successful air race pilot in the modern era.

Pilot Matt Hall says, “I did my first display at Avalon Australian International Airshow in 2007 and it just gets bigger and bigger. The 2025 program and ground activations are incredible.

“This year we are taking it to the next level by racing the reigning Supercar champion. Will Brown is the fastest man in Australia right now, so if anyone is going to put me to the test, it is him.”

The two Red Bull vehicles were both built with speed as the ultimate goal, with Will taking to the track in Red Bull Ampol Racing’s 2025 Supercar, the 600+ horse power Chevrolet Camero, engineered by Triple Eight Race Engineering. Matt will be zooming through the skies in his MXS-R a single-seat aerobatic aircraft made of carbon fibre and built by MX Aircraft Company. The MXS-R is Matt Hall’s retired race aircraft.
