Literally only days since racing at Sydney Motorsport Park in the first round of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia Scholarship Series (April 14) the TFH Racing Team returns to that same venue armed to the teeth with some TA2 Racing Australia goodness in the form of two cars.

But it’s not only TA2.

That would be too easy.

Also in the TFH battalion will be RX8 and Hyundai Excel.

Brett Thomas and his comprehensive armoury of race-cars return to “SMP” for this weekend’s TA2 Racing Australia commitments with geographical logistics and challenges that are unique to the team.

Literally returning home to their Brisbane HQ after Sydney the team will turn around head back to Sydney with Josh Thomas in the TA2 Muscle Car, Diesel Thomas and Brock Paine in the TFH Formula RX8 cars and Des Collier racing the TFH Hyundai Excel.

On top of all that, fresh off his excellent third place performance in the Speed Series Trans Am competition at Philip Island last weekend Todd Hazelwood will saddle up in that same car to make his debut in the TFH Hire TA2 Muscle Car Series framed by HYTEK Steel Framing alongside Thomas.

That’s two TA2 Muscle Cars, two Formula RX8’s and a Hyundai Excel.

“I’m really excited about running the TA2 car around Sydney this weekend,” says Josh Thomas, “those cars are just such fantastic beasts. The sound, the power and the look of them. It’s all so cool. I didn’t get the laps in that I’d wanted in the Toyota this time last weekend but it’s still got me revved up for the TA2 series opener.”

TFH Hire Services are also the presenting sponsor for both the TA2 Muscle Car Series and the Formula RX8 Series.

So a typically hectic weekend looms for the team that loves to roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

“We’re really excited to have Todd (Hazelwood) join us for his TA2 debut this Friday and Saturday night in TA2,” explains TFH Principal Brett Thomas, “it was actually a lot more last minute than some might think. It was never really our plan to have him race this weekend but it makes sense when you think about it. After Todd’s fantastic performance last weekend in Trans Am we’re expecting him to really have an impact on the field in Sydney. My son Josh is really excited about his 2024 TA2 kick off too and after he ran in the TGRA Scholarship last weekend in Sydney he’s got some recent laps under his belt around the circuit. My son Diesel will take the wheel with our friend Brock Paine in the TFH Formula RX8 Series opener and son-in-law Des Collier will run in the Hyundai Excel Series. All in all it’s another busy weekend for the team and I can’t thank our crew enough for their time and energy.”

In addition to the Sydney campaign TFH Hire Services will be extremely well represented this weekend in Taupo NZ for the ITM Taupo Super 400 with Erebus Racing’s Brodie Kostecki and Jack Le Brocq in the Repco Supercars Championship.

Just another weekend in the life of one of the busiest race teams in Australia – TFH Racing! Stay tuned to their Facebook page here.
