Modis, soon to become Akkodis has today launched ‘Lead the Charge’, a talent program which will offer a truly unique opportunity for one candidate to work within the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team across the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship season.
As a global leader within Smart Industry, Akkodis is working with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS to help the team achieve its commitment to Net Zero. Both organisations understand that achieving this commitment will require incredible people, the best technology, and creative minds. Together, both partners are providing the opportunity for one selected candidate to drive a tangible difference to the team’s sustainability goals.
Graduates or anyone with a technical background and a passion for sustainability and motorsports are encouraged to apply for the role.
This program follows on from the previous Lead the Charge program which Akkodis launched with the Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team when Yale student Shreyas Raman joined the team for Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Toto Wolff, Team Principal & CEO, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, says: “We’re delighted to announce this opportunity with our Partner, Akkodis. We are committed to our journey towards net zero and Akkodis will play a part in this by connecting us with young, talented individuals who want to shape the future. We believe this new program will attract world-class talent who want to contribute to our success on, and off the track”.
Jan Gupta, President of Akkodis says: “As a global leader in Smart Industry, we’re striving to engineer a smarter and more sustainable future. Our partners at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team are at the vanguard of sustainability in world motorsport, and we are proud to support them on their journey to Net Zero. Through this global program we will give access to our global talent community and identify one incredible talent who will play an active role in achieving the team’s ambitions. We will offer the right candidate a unique opportunity to accelerate the development and put their career in pole position.”
Peter Hawkins, Senior Vice President of Modis, soon to become Akkodis Australia says; “This is an unbelievable opportunity for an individual who aspires to work within the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. In 2021 our Australian candidate made the top two, so it is an opportunity well in reach of any young Australian wanting an opportunity to be involved in Formula One. Australia has some outstanding talent, and I would encourage anyone who is interested to apply for this experience of a lifetime.”
Applications are now open until 23 October. https://www.akkodis.com/en/lead-the-charge
