Fans of the Australian Motor Racing Series will be treated to more coverage of the series than ever before, with highlights from all six rounds to be broadcast on 7MATE as part of a deal with the network.

Under the arrangement, 7MATE will broadcast a one-hour highlights package in the weeks following each round; highlights for the opening round of the series at Sydney Motorsport Park will run over two episodes.

Once the initial run of each highlights package has been broadcast on 7MATE, the episodes will be available to watch on demand via the 7PLUS platform.

The 7MATE highlights package will be produced by the series’ media partner Fuzzy Media, which also broadcasts the live streaming from each event.

AMRS spokesperson Rowan Harman said the 7MATE coverage further enhances the AMRS as a provider of free content to motorsport fans.

“We’re ensuring our followers are able to watch AMRS content free of charge and now they can select from a wider range of platforms,” Harman said.

“The live streaming will continue to provide live and extensive coverage from every round, and the live stream broadcasts will be preserved on our social media channels to allow people to go back and watch specific races at a time that suits them.

“Additionally, there will now also be the highlights on 7MATE, where viewers will be able to re-live the most exciting moments from each round in the comfort of their lounge room.”

The first part of the AMRS Round 1 highlights package will be shown on 7MATE on Saturday, 9 April with specific times to be confirmed closer to the air date.

Round 2 of the AMRS will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park, 22-24 April.
