SUPERCARS GEN3 TEST DAY QLD RACEWAY GALLERY
This week Supercars tested the new Gen3 cars at Queensland Raceway, it was the first time the new Mustang and Camaro hit the track in anger. Our photographer Matthew Paul was on hand to shoot for us, you can see the full gallery below.
The upgraded Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Ford Mustang GT Gen3 prototypes took to the Ipswich circuit on Monday. Both Gen3 homologation teams – Triple Eight Race Engineering and Dick Johnson Racing – were in attendance.
Shell V-Power Racing Team veteran Will Davison steered the Mustang. Red Bull Ampol Racing teammates Shane van Gisbergen and Broc Feeney lapped the Camaro.
Former Matt Stone Racing driver Zane Goddard, who was also present, became the first driver to sample both cars. Both Gen3 prototypes have received upgrades to their suspension package and several mechanical components since their first public unveiling in Bathurst last year. The upgrades see both cars become a more representative platform of the finished cars that will debut in 2023.
