AUDDINO RACING EXCITED IN THE FORCED OFF SEASON

A privateer team in the Super 3 Series (previously the V8 Kumho Series) Auddino Racing has spent the enforced extended off-season due to COVID-19 giving their BF Falcon a refresh, both inside and out.  Velocity Magazine caught up with driver and team owner Tony Auddino.

“We’ve made some great progress with the Auddino Racing Crusher Parts Internationals BF Falcon in the off-season and really excited to get back out there and show our true potential” Tony told Velocity Magazine.

“We have had some fantastic support from our sponsors Crusher Parts International, Rightway Industrial, Touch of Class Garages and Verandahs and we are also pleased to announce Optimal Bricklaying, Pro Plumb, Korumburra Autobody Repairs and Deans Auto Glass have come on board to support our family run team during this trying time due to COVID-19.”

Midway through the year Supercars announced that the Super 3 series would join the Super 2 class to bolster the feild, this was touted to see around 30 cars on the grid. “The third-tier Australian V8 Touring Car Series will merge into the Dunlop Super2 Series to form a bumper support grid filled with aspiring Supercars racers” said Supercars.

The first round was slated to be at the revised Supercars round at Winton Motor raceway but this event was cancelled dues to the cornoavirus and moved to Sydney Motorsport Park as part of the second event in a row in July at the NSW circuit. An event the Auddino Racing was unable to attend unfortunately.

“It really been disappointing that we have not been able to turn a wheel on ta track so far this year. We had high hopes for 2020 after some promising results in 2019. I’m super proud of our little family run team with what we have been able to achieve so far and in such a short time.”

There is no date as to when the Super 3 series will race, it’s expected that they will join the Super 2 runners at the Bathurst 1000, however the Auddino Racing team are based in Victoria and at present the borders to NSW are closed, time will tell when they can get back on track.
