With a North American swing on the cards this Wednesday, Tickford Racing’s drivers are hard at work preparing for Round 4 of the BP Supercars All-Star eSeries. Following a solid outing at Bathurst last week, the online championship will contest four races this week, two each at Canada’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and the USA’s Watkins Glen International.

With another race podium to his credit at Bathurst last week, Cameron Waters (No. 6 Monster Energy Ford Mustang) holds second in the eSeries championship as the series heads across the Pacific.

Will Davison (No. 23 Milwaukee Racing Ford Mustang) collected his first race podium of the eSeries at Bathurst, finishing third in Race 9. Davison sits seventh in the title chase after three rounds.

Jack Le Brocq (No. 55 Supercheap Auto Ford Mustang) climbed to 11th in the drivers’ championship last week despite being collected in multiple incidents across the night, and hopes a clean night in North America will help him ascend further up the ladder.

Staying out of trouble at Bathurst saw Lee Holdsworth (No. 5 Truck Assist Ford Mustang) post his best eSeries event to date, a high finish of ninth in Race 10 helping him to climb to 14th in the championship. With momentum on his side, Holdsworth is optimistic he can continue that climb on Wednesday.

Live coverage of Round 4 of the BP Supercars All-Star eSeries begins at 6:00 p.m. AEST on Fox Sports, Kayo, and Sky Sports. Additional live coverage on Supercars’ digital channels begins at 7:00, and tape delayed broadcasts can be view on Ten Play and Ten Bold on Saturday.

DRIVERS’ VIEW

Lee Holdsworth
“I actually love the Montreal track, I reckon it’s one of the best tracks on the calendar for F1, and for worldwide tracks…It’s going to be a difficult one, a lot of trail brake at that track, and the big hairpin, and then a long run down the back straight which will create some great passing opportunities…Watkins Glen is a really cool track, I’ve done heaps of laps around there (in-game). I think this will be a good one for the Supercar, I’ve driven a lot of different cars around there, again on computer, not in real life, so I know the track well, but I think this will really suit the Supercar and provide some awesome racing.“

“I’ve watched NASCAR there a fair bit over the years, and F1 at Montreal, so I kind of knew the tracks, but I needed to do a lot of practice to really feel comfortable on them. They’re both tricky for different reasons, which should make it pretty entertaining on Wednesday night.”

“Before hopping on the sim I barely knew anything about the tracks other than what they look like on TV, Montreal’s actually quite fun, challenging but fun, and Watkins Glen is just fast, I like that we’re running the NASCAR layout there. It should be a fun night, you’ll probably have to look after your tyres a fair bit, and I’d imagine there will be some almighty dive bombs at Montreal, but should be good fun, hopefully we can avoid any carnage.”

No. 23 Milwaukee Racing Ford Mustang
Will Davison
“We had a decent week last week, always fun to race at Bathurst, but this week should be pretty hectic itself. Talk about two totally different tracks, Montreal is very twisty and technical, lots of change of direction which a Supercar generally doesn’t like, so you have to be smart with how you place your car; then Watkins Glen is just full of high speed corners, very fast, so things will happen very quickly there. It should be pretty fun out there, and hopefully we’re right amongst it at the front.”

Tim Edwards, Team Principal
“The boys continue to work hard on their sims getting ready for this week’s races. Montreal and Watkins Glen are two great tracks, and they’re a fair bit different from each other so the drivers will have to be on their game. Montreal was one of my favourite tracks and towns from my F1 days, I have a lot of great memories from there, and certainly wouldn’t mind adding a virtual one on Wednesday. The eSeries has been a great thing for the sport at the moment and continues to grow, and we’ve had some pretty good results to this point, so hopefully both continue to build this week.”
