KODY GARLAND MOVES TO MUSTANG AUSSIE RACING CAR BEFORE GC600

New South Wales based Aussie Racing Car young gun Kody Garland has updated his pocket rocket to the Ford Mustang model from the Nissan Altima he has campaigned so far this year.  The striking new livery was unveiled yesterday with his main sponsors NSW MTA emblazoned down the sides.

“We are extremely happy with how the car has turned out after the endless hours that have been spent preparing it,” Kody told Velocity Magazine last night.

Garland sits 13th overall in the standings and 1st in the Rookie Cup with two rounds to go, he is also one of a handful of drivers yet to take their ‘Joker’ round where the weekend points are doubled which will see him rise up the points board.

The Aussie Racing Cars head to the Gold Coast 600 this weekend alongside of the Supercars, its one of the highlight events on their calendar and the penultimate round for the series, with just the Newcastle event left in four weeks time.

“I’m feeling confident heading into this weekends GC600, the track looks awesome so hopefully I can get it down pat in the first run as again I’ve not been there before.”

Every track this year has been new to Kody having come from Karting straight into a National Racing Category.

Kody had this to say on his livery launch on Facebook: “The wait is over!! Been a while since I last posted but it was well and truly worth the wait. Over the past 2 months we have all been working tirelessly to get this beast ready to rumble on the streets of Surfers Paradise next weekend. Massive thanks to everyone who has been involved with the preparation, absolutely pumped to hit the track and see what it’s capable of! I’ll keep you posted✌?
