TOUGHEST WEATHER CONDITIONS EVER FOR MADELINE STEWART

HALF PRICE PARTS Velocity Magazine Media Driver Madeline Stewart encountered the worst weather conditions ever in her short motorsport career yesterday in Race 1 of the Super3 Series at Sandown Raceway.

This weekend is the final round for the Supercars junior feeder class. The weather was that bad at the beginning of the race it was started under safety car.

“Yesterday race one was very wet, its probably the worst conditions I’ve ever raced in when I comes to visibility. I didn’t qualify well on Friday which made the spray even worse, but I finished 14th,” Madeline told Velocity Magazine.

The Super3 class races had the worst of the changing weather all day long, the second race started in reasonably dry conditions which saw the entire field on slick tyres but in the closing stages the drizzle became worse making it tough for the final laps.

“Race two I got a terrible start and dropped back to 18th. It started to rain towards the end of the race and I moved back forward up to 13th when I made a mistake with 3 laps to go which resulted in a DNF.”

“This means I’ll have to start down the back today so hopefully we can move forward.”

The final race of the 2019 championship will be held at 3:05pm on Sunday afternoon, with coverage live via the Velocity Magazine website and Facebook.
