MADELINE STEWART SCORES TOP TEN FINISH IN SUPER3 SERIES RACE 3

HALF PRICE PARTS Velocity Magazine Media Driver Madeline Stewart topped off a positive weekend racing in the Supercars Super3 Series with a top 10 finish in the weekends final race, coming home in 10th at the Bend Motorsport Park.

The Kiwi native drew plenty of positives from the weekend with time spent in the top 10 in practice and qualifying and excellent racing throughout the entire event.

“I had a really good weekend racing and have continued to improve along my learning curve. The Bend is an exceptional track providing a lot of good learning opportunities,” Madeline told Velocity Magazine

“I got a really good start in Race 3 and managed to move forward to 8th on the first lap. It was a really tricky race because there were light showers throughout the race causing some corners to be damp. On the last lap I locked up at turn one causing the car behind to catch up and he got past with just a few corners to go.”

This round was the penultimate event for the 2019 junior Supercars category championship, with the final round of the Kumho Tyre Super3 series to be contested at Sandown Raceway’s Shannons Nationals event on September 20-22.

“Overall we had a great weekend with the team BJR, I’m lucky to have such a great team around me. I’m really looking forward to Sandown in a few weeks time. ”
