Broc Feeney returns to the site of his first car racing victory at The Bend Motorsport Park for the penultimate round of the Kumho Super3 Supercars Series this weekend, where he is aiming to build on his lead in the third tier Supercars Series.
This time last year, Feeney took his first win in car racing in the Toyota 86 Racing Series at the stunning Bend, located at Tailem Bend, around 90 minutes from Adelaide. At 15 years and 10 months, Feeney became the youngest ever race winner in the all Toyota Series.
Now 16, Feeney swept to the lead of the Kumho Tyre Super3 Supercars Series in Ipswich aboard his Exit Timeshare Now Paul Morris Motorsports machine and since that round, in an exciting development, it has been announced that he has joined leading youth mobile provider, Boost Mobile’s roster of athletes. He holds a 13 point lead in the Series.
The Bend holds great memories for Feeney and he has prepared for the event with a recent test.
He’s also stepped up his fitness program as the season rolls on towards next month’s finale at Sandown Raceway, which promises to go right down to the wire.
Events will get underway with a packed Friday schedule that includes two practice sessions and qualifying, while Saturday will feature a seven and eight lap race respectively before the final Feature Race over 10 laps Sunday.
The action in support of the OTR SuperSprint, part of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship can be viewed on Fox Sports 506 and KAYO Sports.
In 2019, Broc Feeney is backed by Australasia’s first timeshare exit advocacy, Exit Timeshare Now, Boost Mobile, Labrys.io, Ozland Security, Ramsay Healthcare, Firestar Developments, allrentals.com.au, Norwell Motorplex and Paul Feeney Group.
BROC FEENEY:
“The Bend is obviously a track that I have some fond memories of from last year taking my first race win in cars.
“It is an awesome, fast flowing track that is a real challenge.
“We had an amazing run at home at Ipswich last month and certainly hoping that we can pick up where we left off in the Exit Timeshare Now car.
“It is great that we get to kick off our relationship with Boost Mobile here this weekend too. We’re looking forward to working closer with the Boost Mobile team and work to give them as much as we can in return.
“The Championship is at a critical point and there is nothing between all the top guys out there.
“I’m definitely pushing hard and have been working overtime off the track, along with training at the Paul Morris Racing Academy at Norwell Motorplex.
“I’m really looking forward to it and really hope we can keep the Exit Timeshare Now car at the head of the field.”
