GROVE GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN HUNGRY

Back-to-back rounds see Stephen Grove take the trip to the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary, for the sixth round of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup (August 2-4).

Following on from last weekend’s event in Germany at the Hockenheimring, where Grove was classified third in Pro-Am, the pinnacle of Porsche one-make racing treks to Eastern Europe for the next round in Hungary.

Once again supporting Formula 1, the tight and technical Hungaroring layout features 14 turns over its 4.381km length.

It was one of three Porsche Supercup rounds that Grove competed in his part-time campaign last year, with his prior experience set to put the Melburnian on a strong footing.

Opportunities for overtaking are limited on the narrow circuit, and as with Monaco, it makes qualifying crucial.

The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is first on-track on Friday for the Free Practice session in the evening local time.

Qualifying takes place on Saturday at 21:23 AEST, which sets the grid for Sunday’s 14-lap race, with lights out at 20:38 AEST.

Fox Sports Channel 506 will broadcast the qualifying session and the race Live in Australia.
