HALF PRICE PARTS Velocity Magazine media drivers Madeline Stewart in the Super3 Series and Tyler Everingham in the Super2 Series have both had a good first day at the Century Batteries Ipswich Supercars SuperSprint.

Both classes had two practice sessions today, qualifying for Madeline gets underway at 8.55am tomorrow and then Tyler is at 12.55pm, and both have one race on Saturday.

Madeline Stewart #8 Commodore VE II – Brad Jones Racing – Super3 Series

“We are very happy with our two practice sessions today, we had a test here earlier in the week and made some good gains. It was great that those gains have carried over to practice. It is very important to have good braking technique at Queensland Raceway and that is an area I’ve been working on a lot both in the Supercar and in the Formula 1000 I’ve been racing.” Madeline told Velocity Magazine.

“With the step I’ve been able to make with my braking I’m now starting to focus on some of the other areas and I’m starting to achieve some good pace. I was 8th fastest today only about 9 tenths off the best time of the day. Hopefully we can qualify and race in the top ten for the rest of the weekend. “

Tyler Everingham #27 Nissan Altima – Matt White Motorsport – Super2 Series

“Very productive day today and at a track I have raced at previously. Had two practice sessions today finishing in the top 10 in both sessions and within 3-4 tenths off the quickest drivers.” Tyler told Velocity Magazine.

“Practice 1 finished the session in P6 and Practice 2 finished the session in P8, I’m looking forward to getting back in the car tomorrow for Qualifying and Race 1.”
