SUPERCAR DRIVERS DON KISS HAIR AND MAKEUP AHEAD OF NEWCASTLE

Virgin Australia Supercars Championship drivers have shown their inner-rock passion, by dressing in full hair and make up as their favourite KISS band members ahead of this year’s Coates Hire Newcastle 500.

Penrite Racing’s David Reynolds, Supercheap Auto Mustang driver Chaz Mostert and Team Harvey Norman Nissan Altimo driver Simona De Silvestro all took part in filming for a television commercial recently, decked out in race suits and KISS’ famous attire.

The commercial will be shown nationally and internationally to promote the 22-24 November event.

The performance by KISS on Saturday 23 November at the Number 1 Sportsground in Newcastle is part of KISS’ End of the Road World Tour and will feature special guests the Screaming Jets in their first ever performance for Supercars in their home town.

The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 is the season finale of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and will run from 22-24 November on the streets of Newcastle’s CBD.

Tickets are still available to the event, special Rock’n’Race tickets are available for fans to gain access to a full day of racing and the concert.

KISS is into the European leg of the End Of The Road tour saying an emotional farewell to fans each and every night. The tour, which features KISS’s most spectacular production ever (and that’s saying something!), continues to garner rave reviews.
 
The Coates Hire Newcastle 500 was secured exclusively for Newcastle for five years by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, in partnership with the Newcastle City Council.

Supercars are this weekend racing at the Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint with practice beginning tomorrow ahead of a 120km race on Saturday and a 200km race on Sunday.
